Léna Gauthier

D.E.C. Mus., M. Mus., B.Th.

Léna Gauthier completed a Master’s Degree in Performance in voice at the University of Montreal after studying piano and voice at Laval University and at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She also holds a Bachelor of Theology, Suma Cum Lude from Faith Theological Seminary and Bible College.

Winner of the Debut Young Concert Artists Competition, semi-finalist for the Joseph-Rouleau Award, and national finalist in her category in the Canadian Music Competition, Léna has appeared as soloist with various orchestras and ensembles and as guest at the George Weston Recital Hall, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Isabel Bader Theatre, among others. Her operatic performances include Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, and Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She made her first television appearance in 1998 in Montreal.

Léna has been teaching students of all ages and levels for 24 years. She was an affiliated teacher with the Extension of the Music School of Laval University (1989-94) and on faculty as Vocal Professor at Canada Christian College, helping students develop their ministry and preparing them for their RCM examinations.

Léna is the Dean of Destiny & Dominion Worship Training Centre and the Worship and Arts Minister at Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries. She and her husband, Vincent, and serve in the church, under the covering of their pastor, Rev. Marcus Martinez. They are the proud parents of two miracle children David and Marie. Léna continues to serve the Lord through  leading and teaching worship, writing songs,  teaching the Word of God, and performing professional singing engagements.
